100% Vegetable Oil is Biodiesel without chemicals

This diesel generator can run on 3 fuels: pure vegetable oil (or other plant oils), diesel fuel, and biodiesel. Pure vegetable oil is different than biodiesel in that it is used without chemically treating the oil. Only filtration of vegetable oil is required, and then the heated fuel system in the vegetable oil generator handles the rest!

How does a Vegetable Oil Generator work?

Vegetable Oil is thicker than diesel fuel, so typically must be thinned to power a diesel engine, This is accomplished with a secondary fuel system that works with the engine to start the generator on diesel fuel, automatically switch over to vegetable oil operation after a few minutes of heating the fuel, and then during shut down prompting you to initiate a quick purge on diesel fuel. This ensures that your engine is ready to start even in cold climates.

This Generator runs on Straight Vegetable Oil, without chemical modification of the oil required. Biodiesel uses a chemical process to thin oil to replace diesel fuel. Multiple Vegetable Oil Sources

Most people choose to collect used cooking oil from local restaurants. Ask first – the owners are usually more than happy to give it to you for free, as they typically pay for it to be removed. Sometimes vegetable oil can be purchased economically in bulk from farmers, food distributors, or even at the pump in some places. One can also choose to grow the oil – there are a variety of crops that will do the job, such as seeds, flowers, olives, coconuts and algae. Use an oil press from the store to extract it.

Safe Operation

Vegetable Oil is actually a much safer fuel than both gasoline and diesel. When looking at the flash point -the temperature at which the liquid ignites – diesel fuel is 62* C ( 143*) and vegetable oil is 327* C (620* F). Also neither diesel fuel nor vegetable oil vapors are ignitable.
